Topological insulator materials are a recently discovered electronic phase with unique properties: such as spin-polarized protected surface/edge states akin to gapless Dirac states in Graphene and bulk magneto-electric effects, amongst others. TI materials have promising applications in spin based memory & logic and magnetoelectric switches. Our research on TI materials focuses on exploring the nature of charge and spin transport in TI devices and high quality material synthesis. Current topics include:
